DEFINITIVE CAREER-SPANNING COLLECTION INCLUDES 17 CLASSIC VOCAL COLLABORATIONS & TWO NEWLY-RECORDED SUPERSTAR DUETS New Duet With Barry Manilow, "I Won't Be The One To Let Go," To Premiere Exclusively On AOL Music's "First Listen" On Monday, November 4 Duets Album In Stores Tuesday, November 26 (dateline - New York - Columbia Records - November 1) Columbia Records will release the new Barbra Streisand album, Duets, a comprehensive career-spanning collection of superstar vocal collaborations and two newly-recorded Duets including "All I Know Of Love" and "I Won't Be The One To Let Go," a duet with Barry Manilow recorded specifically for this album. Duets will be available Tuesday, November 26. Over the past five decades, Barbra Streisand has performed duets with the greatest vocalists in pop music history from Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra through Neil Diamond and Johnny Mathis to Celine Dion and Barry Gibb and beyond. Many of these -- including "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" with Neil Diamond and "Guilty" with Barry Gibb -- have been massive chart-topping hits while others have been treasured by fans and collectors. Duets brings together, for the first time on one album, virtually all of Ms. Streisand's extraordinary vocal collaborations beginning with her groundbreaking and revelatory performance of "Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again," recorded during a 1963 appearance on "The Judy Garland Show," through her newly recorded duet with Barry Manilow. The full-length version of "I Won't Be The One To Let Go," Barbra Streisand's new duet with Barry Manilow, will premiere exclusively as an audio stream on AOL Music's "First Listen" on Monday, November 4. AOL Keyword: First Listen. Having received Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, Cable Ace and Peabody Awards (among numerous others), Barbra Streisand is truly a Renaissance woman with her extraordinary popularity now entering its fifth decade. She is the highest-selling female recording artist ever, the only artist to have had a #1 album in each of the past four decades. Consistently releasing #1 albums over a period of nearly 40 years, she has achieved the greatest longevity of success of any recording artist or group. Barbra Streisand has set a series of unprecedented sales records with her recordings: to date, 47 of her albums and 8 of her singles have earned RIAA gold certifications; 28 of her albums and 5 of her singles have earned platinum certifications; 13 of her albums have broken into multi-platinum territory. In addition, she has earned 5 gold, 1 platinum, and 2 multi-platinum certifications for her video releases. Her unbroken string of successes began when her debut album, The Barbra Streisand Album, became the nation's top-selling record by a female vocalist in 1963 and has continued unabated through the release of Christmas Memories, which was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA shortly after its release in late 2001. A recent national poll by the Reuters News Agency named Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra as the favorite female and male singers of the century while the RIAA confirmed her status as the leading female recording artist of the 20th century. # # # # # Barbra Streisand 1.
