COLUMBIA RECORDS GROUP LAUNCHES C2 LABEL IMPRINT
The Columbia Records Group has launched C2, its new label imprint, with a diverse slate of releases from artists
culled from the current ranks of Columbia Records Group labels. Initial C2 tracks, released to radio this month,
are "Stay The Same" by Joey McIntyre, "All About The Money" by Meja, and "Level On The Inside" by Dovetail Joint.
Subsequent releases include "Life's A Bitch" by Shooter and "Helpless" by D Generation, both set for February, with
additional artists and projects to be announced.
The formation of C2 allows the Columbia Records Group to better service its artists in an increasingly competitive
and continually shifting marketplace, further enforcing the company's commitment to long-term artist development.
C2's roster will continually evolve, and the decision to release a particular Columbia Records Group arist through
C2 will be made on a project-by-project basis.
C2 is a welcome addition to the Columbia Records Group, which enjoys long-term alliances and relationships
with Columbia Nashville, Sony Music Soundtrax, Sony Classical and Sony Discos, So So Def Recordings and
RuffHouse Records, as well as recently-forged associations with American Recordings, Aware Records and others.
