WILL SMITH
Title: "Will2K"

A point of view camera moves through a modern home fills with exclusive partygoers. It is the P.O.V. of Will Smith. In this shot we feature 4 to 5 guests (friends, family, celebrities). We record on camera dialogue here as they say "hello", ask Will "What he has up his sleeves fro tonight." Will overtakes camera as he steps up onto a small DJ stage and greets his friend KC

The camera pushes into Will seen in medium shots. He addresses his guests. On camera dialogue here:

Long shot establishes party scene with Will on stage. Will: "Folks, I've got a very special New Year's surprise, a little thing I just whipped up. . . etc."

In close up Will presses a small hand held device. The year 1923 appears. . .

A wide shot sees a tine sphere appearing in the center of the room. It is a time bubble. It grows in size, flickering and undulating. The camera pans with it as we follow the leading edge of this huge animating shape. It stretches the room and people as it moves, accompanied by some odd sound design.

A group of three or four are seen with the bubble moving across them. They transform into 1920's era wardrobe while their color image also turns into black and white.

Will is seen on stage The bubble comes from behind camera enveloping him and KC. They transform into 1920's era clothing while changing to a black and white film image.

The transformation completes to see Will on a 1920's stage. The look of the film here feels like old period archive material. Images are seen with a heavy contrast, vignette frames and possible distressed treatments. Will is performing with a small jazz combo. KC sits at the piano accompanied by a stand up bass, drums, banjo, and clarinet. An elegant, speak-easy crowd watches, while several couples dance at the foot of the stage, Will is on a period microphone performing: "Here it comes, the party of a lifetime. . . etc."

We see a rocking shot of Will and the band, KC is seen at the piano inspired by a classic early Duke Ellington image.

We see dancers movin' to a classic 1920's Charleston step.

Will continues to perform in medium shot: "KC, you feelin' me right?. . . etc.

KC responds: "Ooh yeah!"

More spirited dancing.

A point of view from outside the club sees a tiny door slide open revealing a pair of weathered eyes.

Will performs in close up.

A mysterious character in a long coat and dark glasses enters the club. He steps close to camera.

Dancers shuffle.

A wide shot sees a group of policemen storming the speak-easy. They grab Will.

A medium shot sees the musicians, always ready for a police bust, closing up their cases, bailing out of the scene and exiting the stage.

Will is seen in medium shot held by two police officers. H shakes them off still performing - Will: Yo, excuse me, Willenium!"

In close up Will presses a small hand held device. The year 1975 appears. "Can't get thicker than this. . ."

In a long shot Will stands next to the cops. A s we hear the chant "Big Will!" he transforms his 1920's wardrobe into some very wild 1970's gear (and in color!) The 1920's cops look n completely baffled. Will stops his dance suddenly to play to camera with" "Hold up, it is!"

As the chorus begins "Here it comes, another year. . . etc." A quick, time bubble, tunnel warp transforms the scene to the year 1975.

The chorus rocks as the camera dollys back on a very happening Soul Train line dance in progress. The scene is a loud, vibrant '70's kodachrome cool look. Will is doing his "70's best at the end of the dance line, seen with a young lady. The scene is a little bit disco and a little bit psychedelic. A lighted floor pulses, risers in the corner sport crazy hot dancers on top. A jump cut follows a new couple in the line sporting the craziest fashion choices of the time. As the chorus repeats another jump cut follows a third couple dancing.

As the next verse starts we are still in the '70's but we have moved over to the edge of the set. Wild, hot dancers move on risers behind Will as he performs here. "It was a party night, everybody was drinkin'. . . etc."

Some hand held wild cam covers the undulating ladies on t he risers "The house was screamin' and the bass was shakin', etc." In close up Will presses a small hand held device. The year 1946 appears. (May not need this here.)

A quick time bubble tunnel warp transforms the '70's scene to the year 1946, "Everybody's knowin' that at 12:00 the roof'll be blowin'. . .etc."

As the second half of the verse begins "Drinks on me, up the cups. . .etc." We are close on a champagne glass being raised by Mr. Smith. The frames widens out to a medium shot as he toast the crowd. We are now in a 1940's juke-joint. It is a casual local bar vibe. The scene is a New Year's Eve celebration. Confetti is in the air, etc. A group of couples are burning up the dance floor with the lindy hop.

A wide frame reveals the whole scene.

We see some slammin' lindy hop dancing. "Midnight comin' full thrust. . .etc."

Will is at the bar with KC. They are dressed in some very cool, late '40's, Dizzy Gilsepie inspired suits. Will performs here. "Second hand rollin' around, etc."

We see a shot of the bartender watching the dancers. "Hate to be the man that gotta clean this mess. . .etc."

More inspired lindy hop coverage.

We see a young lady sit next to Will. She looks over and smiles. He turns and performs the next bit to her: "Get ready to hum "Old Ang Syne", cuz the person that knows the world's hard to find. . . etc."

A wide frame sees the young lady walk Will a few steps to the dance floor. She might playfully grab him by the tie and drag him out. "First soul train line of the year. . . etc."

A medium shot sees Will and the young lady on the dace floor. They stand face to face not dancing, until Will gives himself a countdown to the step: "4-3-2-1". They jump into the brilliant lindy hop dance step.

Will dances as the chorus begins again. "It's here and I like it. . . etc."

KC is seen at the bar. He watches Will and shakes his head. He's ready to move on despite how much fun Will is having. He pulls out the hand held device.

In close up, KC pushes in 1988.

A quick, time bubble, tunnel warp transforms the '40's scene to the year 1988.

The camera pulls out from a crazy break dancer spinning on the ground. We reveal a tightly packed group standing around watching. The scene is a late '80's breakdance circle. Dancers watch each other freestyling in the center. It is an urban, loading dock scene with graffiti walls and concrete floors. The group wears old school hip hop gear: Adidas shoes, sweats, gold chains, jogging suits, etc.

As the chorus plays, we see some very stylish break dancing, "Here comes another year. . . etc."

As the chorus repeats we see more stylish break dancing, "Here it comes another year. . . etc."

The scene widens out to see Will and KC on the loading dock platform. A simple DJ set is up here. They perform together on this impromptu stage in a classic call and response hip hop tradition. "Say Yeah, Yeah! C'mon, C'mon. Say Yo, Yo! Etc."

More coverage of Will and KC performing to the small crowd. Breakdancers come up onto the loading dock to break. "ha ha - Ha ha"

The music stops.

In a wide shot we see the dancers suddenly moving in super slow motion. Will and KC move in normal motion. They stop their performance suddenly.

We hear live, on camera dialogue begin. *Please note this is temp. dialogue until I speak to Mr. Smith.*

In a medium 2 shot we see Will and KC looking puzzled: Will: "Yo, what's up with that?" KC: "I don't know man, things were going so well. . ."

Will is seen in close up gesturing to KC. Will: "Let me check that thing. . ."

KC is seen in medium shot pulling out the remote control device.

KC: ". . .I got it. . ."

See stylish super slow motion breakin' shot cutaway.

In a medium 2 shot Will and KC continue their "discussion". Will (gesturing to device) "Are you pressin' it ?" KC is trying to get the device to work, but does not want to give it up. KC: "Yeah, I got it. . ."

In a wide shot we see the dancers still super slow, while Will and KC continue. KC: "I got it. . ." Will reaches for the device, they tug-of-war over it. KC drops the controller. KC: "Hey. . .!"

A slow motion close up sees the device drop to the ground. As it settles the face pops on: 2222

In a medium 2 shot Will and KC rise up into frame and look at each other a bit worried. Will and KC: "Whoa!"

A quick, time bubble, tunnel warp transformation the '80's scene to the year 2222.

The music begins again.

As verse 3 begins Will moves through a mysterious hallway. He wears a unique retro/future suit made from modern fabrics and materials. "I remember trying to count how old I'd be. . ."

In close up he continues verse 3. He enters an unusual room. Silhouetted figures stand still behind him, set back into curved alcoves built into the walls. . He continues to perform: "When the clock struck 12 in the year 2G. . ."

We begin to flash cut between performances here and other era material continues.

In a head to toe shot we see that Will is now fully inside the future room. He stands on a metal hallway. He holds his arms up as we hear him finish the verse. "Hands in the air waitin; for confetti to rain."

In our largest frame yet there is a dramatic lighting cue. A group of 10 dancers are suddenly illuminated behind Will. They are all dressed in sexy futuristic motion suits. The chorus begins, and the dancers and Will look into a crazy, synchronized, future dance step.

Will is seen in close up performing: "Do what with it. . .!!"

Dancer shot "Pack the dance floor. . ."

As the chorus repeats the room comes alive with color. Above the heads of the dancers and Will we see futuristic wire frame animations. They loom eight or ten feet above the dancers in a striking purple color. Will also has a wire frame version of himself that towers overhead in bright orange.

A single dancer is seen with animation overhead.

A group of 5 dancers are seen with animation overhead.

Will is seen in close up performing the back end of the track.

This dance builds to intensity, then finishes. (Original song finish)

An extended time bubble tunnel warp transforms the future scene back to the year 1999, Inside this bubble we see a variety of footage we have visited from the various eras swirling and spinning. We also hear the end of the track echo and trail off as we spin backward in time. A dreamy audio montage hears the "5-4-3-2-1" countdown from the original 1999 party mixed with the swirling version of cheering, Old Ang Syne and other 1999 party sounds, etc.

We flash cut to a dolly that tracks just outside our 1999 party scene. Weary as well as wild party goers are exiting, some blowing horns, some half asleep. A celebrity guest walks toward us. We quickly notice that he is wearing 1920's era suit and is in black and white! He nonchalantly steps to the camera and to the audience. . . Mr. X: "That man sure knows how to throw a party. . ."
