LA GOTA FRIA
Julio Iglesias
Director: Gustavo Garzon

Julio's video is an explosion of grace, color, and sensual dancing. Shot in a typical pueblo-like ambiance (location to be determined), "La Gota Fria" features Julio as an explorer arriving in a small Latin town full of mysticism, magic realism and attractive natives who gather together in an amazing fiesta event.

Deep contrasts, rich textures and saturated colors combine with shifting camera speeds to create a party with a dream-like atmosphere.

As Julio arrives, he is welcomed with joy and surprise by a group of small children. He is dragged into the heart of the pueblo and the midst of the fiesta. He encounters people playing instruments in the streets and couples dancing body against body. He finds magic portraits of the natives in simple rituals depicted with a colorful, dreamlike quality. In this pueblo, playful children, sensual young people, and wise-looking elders organically intermingle.

Slow motion is used to capture many events, such as joyous parades of people dressed in native costumes, including some fascinating masks. Some of these people play accordions, percussion instruments, and acoustic guitars.

Julio intermingles with the pueblo natives under the colorful lights typical of such villages that hang over the street, crossing from side to side. Small fireworks contribute constant energy to the scene, while some candle-filled areas add a peaceful glow.

The dancing is extremely sensual. Hot caresses, embraces, and graceful movements are choreographed freely by beautiful young dancers in exquisitely photographed moments as Julio watches on. He surveys the colorful scene as he sits at a table or as he walks the streets.

The video is filled with glimpses from the party, reminiscent of the pueblo celebration seen in Romancing the Stone. These are intercut with unexpected, magical shots: shaman-like elders perform rituals with birds; young women dance together in a group, seen in backwards motion for a dreamy quality; and young people and musicians, wearing great costumes and edgy-looking masks, are captured in portrait moments while children float in the air -- all of these are shot in exquisite slow motion.

Extreme details of the party, the dancing sequences, and the magical events are presented by Julio. he acts as a narrator who watches on as everything takes place around him.

The video might also include some water-drenched scenes. Jets of water pour in from all sides on the dancers. Their bodies move through the streams, creating an erotic aura full of Latin heat.

Fireworks explode in the night sky around the church tower, providing the grand finale for this amazing party that has been so full of life, passion, and happiness. As the fireworks burst, we see couples dancing. Some are silhouetted, while others are illuminated with saturated colors in shots captured with an exquisite eye.

The whole pueblo behaves as if they have been waiting for Julio for a long time: the stranger who brings passion, joy and magic to the lives of the natives.

Julio's video combines sight and sound for an unforgettable experience.
